Adani Group Supports Vietnam with $1 Million in Relief Aid
Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group of India, has pledged $1 million in support to Vietnam to help overcome the devastating consequences of storm No. 3.
In a heartfelt letter to Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Government Office from New Delhi, Chairman Adani expressed his deepest condolences to the Vietnamese people, particularly those severely affected by Typhoon Yagi and floods.
“We are deeply saddened to witness the enormous loss of life and property caused by natural disasters and the hardships that communities in the northern provinces of Vietnam are enduring,” the letter stated.
Mr. Adani acknowledged the extraordinary strength and determination of the Vietnamese people in overcoming adversity, emphasizing the importance of unity and support during this challenging time.

The Adani Group has contributed $1 million to the Central Relief Mobilization Committee to provide necessary support for charity and relief activities in the northern provinces affected by storms and floods, as well as the Viet Tiep Friendship Hospital in Hai Phong.
“We are always ready to accompany and stand side by side with the Vietnamese people to overcome this unprecedented natural disaster. I sincerely wish the Vietnamese people peace and hope that all families and communities affected by storms and floods will soon overcome the losses caused by natural disasters,” Chairman Adani affirmed.
The Chairman of Adani Group expressed his appreciation for the cooperative relationship with Vietnam and pledged to continue focusing on investment and successfully implementing investment projects to support the community and promote the local economy towards a prosperous future.
In July 2024, during his State visit to India, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh received Mr. Gautam Adani – Chairman of Adani Group India.
The Adani Group’s leaders expressed their desire to invest in the infrastructure sector, with billion-dollar projects, including the Lien Chieu Port (Da Nang) with a total expected capital of over $2 billion, creating a complete logistics ecosystem.
Adani also wishes to deploy investment activities in the Vinh Tan 3 Thermal Power Project (Binh Thuan), with a total expected investment capital of $2.8 billion.
In addition, Adani is planning to strengthen cooperation with Vietnamese partners in the fields of aviation and logistics, such as the construction of Long Thanh airport phase 2 (Dong Nai) and Chu Lai airport (Quang Nam).
