Strava Adds New Features, Including Enhanced Route Sharing
Strava, the popular social network for athletes, has rolled out a new update featuring improved route sharing capabilities and enhanced mapping features. The update aims to provide users with more engaging ways to showcase their activities and discover new routes.
Statistics Stickers for Social Sharing
A key addition is the introduction of statistics stickers. These stickers allow users to visually display key data from their routes, such as distance, elevation gain, and time, directly on social media posts. The clear stickers can be overlaid on images of the route, providing followers with a fast snapshot of the activity.

Fatmap Integration Enhances Mapping
Following its acquisition of Fatmap, Strava has integrated enhanced mapping features into the submission. Users can now view more realistic 3D representations of routes, providing a better understanding of the terrain. New map layers also allow users to visualize slope gradients through a color-coded system.

Improved Route Search Functionality
Responding to user requests, Strava has also improved its route search engine. The updated search function includes more filters, allowing users to efficiently locate specific routes based on various criteria. This enhancement makes it easier for users to share routes with others or find suitable routes for their own activities.

On-Map Performance Data
The updated maps now display KOMs (King/Queen of the Mountain), PRs (Personal Records), and other relevant rankings directly on the route. This feature helps users quickly identify segments where they achieved notable results, even if the segment names are not instantly recognizable.
Strava continues to evolve as a leading platform for athletes, with these latest updates focused on enhancing the social and finding aspects of the app.
