Pitchfork has identified ten new album releases available on streaming services as of April 10, 2026. The curated list features a variety of genres, including new work from My New Band Believe, Mei Semones, Lone, and a collaborative project between upsammy and Valentina Magaletti.

Cameron Picton and My New Band Believe

A primary focus of the new releases is the project titled My New Band Believe, released via Rough Trade. The project is led by Cameron Picton, who previously served as the bassist and co-singer for the band Black Midi.

Picton had remained quiet following the hiatus of Black Midi in 2024. According to reporting, the name of the new project was conceived during a fever dream Picton experienced in a hotel room in China, where the phrase My New Band Believe appeared to him.

Within his former group, Picton was often associated with the band’s more melodic post-hardcore and fiddly, fingerpicked folk elements, which frequently centered on themes regarding shipwrecked pirates.

The self-titled release from My New Band Believe departs from those previous forms to incorporate baroque-pop epics and twinkly piano ballads. The album is described as containing hallucinatory folk odysseys with eerie jazz breakdowns.

Collaborations and Other Releases

Another significant release highlighted is Seismo, a collaborative LP from upsammy and Valentina Magaletti released through the Pan label.

The album is described as a meeting between a drummer and a specialist in bass weight. The resulting work consists of modern lullabies constructed from layered, percussive melodies.

In addition to these projects, the April 10, 2026, recommendations include new albums from the following artists:

  • Mei Semones
  • Lone
  • WU LYF
