Strengthening Ties: PM Pham Minh Zheng Connects with Vietnamese Community in Qatar

Nguyen Huy Hiep, Ambassador of Vietnam to Qatar, said that currently, there are about 450 Vietnamese people in Qatar, mainly engaged in the fields of construction, petroleum, learning, research and business. Among them, more than 300 Vietnamese engineers are working in Qatar Petroleum Company. The Vietnamese community in Cardiff has always maintained unity, abided by the laws of the host country, worked and studied diligently, protected and promoted the spirit of national self-confidence, promoted the national image and various cultural values; and always cared about the motherland and hometown.

Over the years, the embassy has carried out work in various aspects and contributed to the advancement of Vietnam-Qatar relations and the promotion of Vietnamese national customs and customs in Qatar. Pham Minh Zheng introduced the domestic situation and achievements in many fields to the Vietnamese overseas Chinese. He said that Vietnam’s relations with Qatar and even Middle Eastern countries are developing well, but bilateral economic relations are still limited and are not commensurate with bilateral politics, diplomacy, potential and people’s expectations.
