Ellie Goldstein, 23, became the fifth contestant to leave Strictly Come Dancing. She is the first celebrity with Down’s syndrome to compete on the main series of the show. Goldstein and her professional partner, Vito Coppola, faced Balvinder Sopal (known for her role in EastEnders) and Julian Caillon in the dance-off on Sunday, November 3rd.
The pair found themselves at the bottom of the leaderboard following the combined public vote and judges’ scores from Saturday’s show.The judges ultimately chose to save Sopal and Caillon.
Halloween Week Performances
Saturday’s episode featured a Halloween-themed show. In addition to the competition performances, the show included special routines.
- A performance by singer Cat Burns, star of The Celebrity Traitors, accompanied by professional dancers Michelle Tsiakkas and Nancy Xu.
- A group dance from the Strictly professionals, themed around a Monsters’ ball.
