Stripe plans to create 200 new engineering and go-to-market jobs at its Dublin headquarters, expanding a local workforce that has grown past 1,000 employees since the start of the year. The financial technology company reached this milestone following a 35% increase in its Irish headcount since January, building on an expansion that brought its operations into a new 14,500-square-metre headquarters at One Wilton Park in October 2025. Stripe established its first offices in Dublin in 2013.
Stripe Expands Dublin Operations and Headcount
The latest hiring push reinforces Dublin’s role as a primary operating hub for the company. Stripe maintains global dual headquarters in San Francisco and Dublin, with the Irish capital serving as the central base for operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In addition to regional management, the Dublin office houses product development teams responsible for global tools including core payments, Stripe Tax, and fraud-detection software. The continued expansion of our Irish team reflects both the strong demand for Stripe’s products and services in Europe, and Ireland’s status as one of the best places in the world to build and scale global operations,
said Eileen O’Mara, Vice Chair at Stripe.
Stripe’s local unit posted pretax profits of $445.5 million last year, marking a 337% increase as revenues climbed 32.5% to $6.79 billion. The company currently supports 86,000 Irish businesses and solo entrepreneurs, ranging from tech firms like Wayflyer and Flipdish to established organizations such as Bank of Ireland, Brown Thomas Arnotts, the GAA, and Smyths.

Government Officials Welcome the Investment
Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment Peter Burke welcomed the hiring announcement as proof of Ireland’s competitive business environment. As Ireland’s economy continues to evolve, companies such as Stripe play an important role in advancing new technologies, developing world-class expertise, and enhancing Ireland’s international competitiveness, Mr Burke stated.
The expansion receives ongoing support from the Irish Government through IDA Ireland. Dónal Travers, executive director of IDA Ireland, noted that Stripe’s plans to add another 200 staff, with 1,000 people already employed in Ireland, is a clear endorsement of Ireland’s highly skilled and deep talent base, and of Dublin’s position as a global international financial services and technology hub.
Eileen O’Mara, vice chair at Stripe, added that Dublin has established itself over the past decade as the twin engine of the company’s global growth story.

Collison Brothers Lead Company Valued at 159 Billion Dollars
Stripe was co-founded in 2010 by Irish brothers Patrick and John Collison. Earlier this year, the company reached a valuation of $159 billion during an employee tender offer. Forbes estimated that the net worth of both co-founders rose to $17.5 billion each.
Stripe recently engaged in discussions regarding a potential acquisition of rival payments firm PayPal alongside investment firm Advent, offering more than $50 billion. Those negotiations were ultimately abandoned in August after PayPal found the initial bid insufficient.
