Teh rematch between Kristaps Zutis and Juris Zundovskis will headline “KOK 128,” a combat sports event by “KOK Fights” taking place on February 21st of this year at the ”Xiaomi Arena” in Riga.Organizers are calling this duel the biggest rematch in Latvian history.
The fight will be contested in the light heavyweight division under modified rules. Small gloves will be used, and the outcome of the fight will not be officially recorded in the boxers’ records.
The two athletes first met a year ago – on February 8, 2025. Zundovskis won that four-round fight by judges’ decision. Tension has not eased as then, with Zutis repeatedly making insulting and crude gestures towards Zundovskis publicly.
In january, Kristaps fought against Francis Rozentals, where he suffered a loss, and shortly after publicly announced his intention to end his athletic career. Accordingly, the upcoming fight against Zundovskis will be his last professional appearance in the “KOK Fights” tournament.
