Suede have announced a 30th-anniversary reissue of their album Coming Up, along with a 12-inch singles collection. The reissue, set for release on September 25 via Demon Music, includes restored artwork, bonus tracks, B-sides, and newly mixed versions by Steven Wilson.

The original Coming Up album, Suede’s third studio record, debuted at Number One on the UK albums chart and produced five hit singles, including “Trash,” “Saturday Night,” and “Beautiful Ones.” It also earned the band their second Mercury Prize nomination. The record featured Richard Oakes on guitar, following the departure of Bernard Butler around the release of previous album Dog Man Star in 1994. It was like, ‘No, we’re not done. Just you watch.’

The 30th-anniversary reissue will be available in multiple formats, including half-speed mastered black vinyl, pink and blue blended colored vinyl, a 5CD deluxe box set, and digital editions. The box set features the newly mastered original album, 2026 Steven Wilson stereo mixes, B-sides, bonus tracks like “Shipbuilding,” and a live BBC session. Additional elements include Atmos and 5.1 mixes on Blu-ray audio, with an exclusive green and yellow blended vinyl edition of the Wilson Stereo Mix. Digital versions will include all five CDs plus instrumental mixes and Apple Spatial Audio-compatible Atmos tracks.

A restored version of the “Beautiful Ones” music video will accompany the reissue. Tracks like “Trash” and “Saturday Night” remain staples in Suede’s live performances.

Frontman Brett Anderson addressed the band’s approach to their legacy in a recent NME interview, stating, “I’m proud of the ‘90s stuff we did, but I don’t think about it all the time. What I think about is this record and the next one.” Anderson emphasized that Suede’s survival hinges on their focus on the present and future, rejecting the role of a “nostalgia act.” He noted, “The zeitgeist shifts and moves around. Sometimes we resonate with that and sometimes we’re diametrically opposed to the zeitgeist, but we just carry on doing our own thing.”

The reissue follows Suede’s expanded reissue of last year’s Antidepressants, which included the new track “Emotionally Unavailable.” The band is also preparing for a co-headline tour with Manic Street Preachers, having previously done so in 1994, 2022 and 2024, with their first date at Glasgow’s OVO Hydro on October 28. Dates include performances in Leeds, Manchester, Cardiff, London, Birmingham, Nottingham and Bournemouth.

The Coming Up reissue’s tracklist for the 5CD deluxe box set includes:

  • CD1 (2026 Master): The original album’s 10 tracks, including “Trash” and “Beautiful Ones.”
  • CD2 (Steven Wilson Mix): A stereo remix of the album.
  • CD3 (The B-sides): 12 tracks from the Coming Up era, including “Europe Is Our Playground” and “Saturday Night (original demo).”
  • CD4 (The B-sides / Bonus Tracks): Live recordings, unreleased demos, and rare tracks like “Shipbuilding.”
  • CD5 (‘Coming Up At The BBC’): A live session from 1996.

Artwork for the reissue has been restored by the original design team, in collaboration with Peter Saville and photographer Nick Knight. New sleeve notes by music journalist and biographer Miranda Sawyer provide contextual insights into the album’s creation.
