Suge Knight Urges Diddy to Testify in Sex Trafficking Case
Updated June 01, 2025
From prison, Suge Knight has weighed in on Sean “Diddy” Combs’ legal situation, suggesting the Bad Boy Records founder should testify. Knight, currently serving a 28-year sentence for a 2015 hit-and-run, believes Diddy could improve his chances in the sex trafficking case by taking the stand.
Knight stated that Diddy could “walk free” if he tells his truth. Speaking from the Richard J. Donovan Correctional facility, Knight proposed a strategy for Diddy to perhaps sway the jury.
The Death Row Records executive thinks Diddy should admit to past struggles. Knight believes that by humanizing himself, a jury might be more sympathetic. He added that remaining silent makes Diddy appear afraid.
“If Puffy goes up there and says,’Hey… I did all the drugs,I wasn’t in control of my life at the time,or myself’ – he can humanize his old self and the jury might give him a shot,” Knight said.
Despite their long-standing feud, Knight has previously stated that Diddy “should definitely walk free,” arguing that other executives should also be held accountable. Diddy faces charges including racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. His trial is expected to last through June and July.
What’s next
Diddy’s legal team has not commented on Knight’s advice. The trial continues, with the prosecution presenting its case throughout June.
