ASSEN, Netherlands (April 14, 2025) — Dominique Aegerter faced a weekend of mixed fortunes at the Assen round of the Superbike World Championship, while Andrea Locatelli seized his first career victory in a dramatic Race 2.
Aegerter’s weekend: highs adn Lows
Aegerter, riding a Yamaha, showed promise early in the weekend, demonstrating strong pace in Friday’s free practice. However, a less-than-ideal Superpole performance hampered his starting position for the subsequent races.
Despite the setback, Aegerter salvaged a seventh-place finish in Race 1, his best result of the season to date. “Even if I gave my maximum in the first laps, I could not follow people in front of me.
