The fundraising page details her medical challenges, stating that her injuries and infections have led to extended hospital stays beyond the coverage provided by her insurance. Without proper care, her recovery may be at risk.

Her friends, Paige Dylan, Coty Galloway, and Mel England, organized the fundraiser out of gratitude and love. They emphasize how Kirkland has been a supportive and kind figure in their lives. Despite facing her struggles alone, Kirkland has consistently supported others.
