Support Sculptor Ricardo Breceda in Urgent Need of Heart Surgery
Ricardo Breceda Faces Health Crisis
Ricardo Breceda, a sculptor known for his metal art in Borrego Springs, needs urgent heart surgery. He collapsed recently and spent nearly two weeks in the hospital. Tests showed a severely blocked artery, risking his life without immediate surgery.
Breceda expressed, “I feel great, but if I don’t take care of myself and have the surgery, I could die at any time.”
Currently without health insurance, he is using his art to raise funds for the procedure. However, he rejects any form of charity. “No GoFundMe,” he said. Instead, he encourages people to buy his art.
To help, Breceda is offering discounts on his sculptures. Prices range from a few dollars for small pieces to $5,000 for larger works. This is much lower than their usual prices.
Breceda appreciates the support from the community. He values the well-wishes and encouragement received during his hospitalization. “Friends… it’s much better than money,” he said, showing his positive outlook.
The community is rallying around him. His gallery on Highway 79 in Aguanga is open daily from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Visitors can buy art or share their good wishes in person.
