Susan Dell, the 62-year-old philanthropist and wife of Dell Technologies founder Michael Dell, drew widespread online attention after appearing alongside President Donald Trump during an October 7, 2026, Oval Office press event.
White House Appearance Highlights Investment Accounts
Susan Dell stood alongside her husband and President Donald Trump at the White House on October 7, 2026, to highlight the couple’s major financial commitment to the Trump Accounts programme. Under this programme, qualified children born from 2025 through 2028 receive a $1,000 federal seed deposit inside an investment portfolio. To support the programme, the Dells have pledged $6.25 billion, which will finance approximately 25 million extra accounts with $250 each for youngsters who missed out on the government-funded deposit’s age criteria. Within the Oval Office, Susan encouraged mothers, fathers, grandparents, and older relatives to verify that their kids and grandkids claim their funds, while Trump joked that he would give her his complete and total endorsement if she ever decided to enter politics.
Social Media Focus Shifts to Facial Expressions
Clips and photos from the White House event spread quickly on social media platforms, especially on X. Instead of focusing solely on the financial announcement, social media users homed in on Susan’s facial expressions, hand movements, makeup, and overall demeanour, with some users speculating that she had undergone cosmetic procedures or other aesthetic treatments. These claims remain unverified and online reactions also included sarcasm.
Susan Dell Worked in Fashion Before Starting Philanthropy
Susan Dell met her husband in 1988 in Austin, Texas, and the pair married the following year, later welcoming four children: daughters Alexa, Kira, and Juliette, and son Zachary. Before establishing her career in philanthropy, Susan built a career in fashion, launching several labels including the luxury brand Phi, which operated from 2003 to 2009, and designing inaugural gowns for Barbara and Jenna Bush in 2001. In 1999, Susan and Michael established the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation, through which the couple has given away $10 billion to various nonprofits, per their website.

Families Respond Positively to Contributions for Children
During her appearance, Susan spoke about the positive response the contribution has received from families across the country.
“Over the past month, as our contribution has reached millions of children’s accounts, Michael and I have heard from so many parents and kids and grandparents with these beautiful letters that have truly moved us,” Susan said. “Children have told us that they want to become entrepreneurs. They want to become nurses, doctors, engineers. They want to build their own company someday.”
First for Money
Susan also stated that the greatest investment that could possibly be made is in children, as the funded accounts continue to reach families nationwide.
