A spokesman for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex called the incident an unacceptable intrusion into the privacy of children. The incident follows the family’s move back to the United Kingdom last month after living in California for six years.
According to BBC reporting, two men wearing backpacks were observed circling the perimeter of the school, stopping at various points to look into the grounds before returning to a rental van. Police later identified one of the men as an international press photographer believed to work for a European press agency.

The intrusion has renewed scrutiny surrounding the family’s privacy and daily routines in the United Kingdom. Harry and Meghan’s spokesman detailed the distinction between professional news gathering and monitoring children.

The spokesman added that whatever photographs the individuals were seeking, the conduct was irresponsible and ill-considered near a school. Ravec Assessment and the Cotswolds Relocation
The family’s relocation to a private property in the Cotswolds area, reported in August, has brought renewed attention to their security arrangements. The committee that oversees royal and VIP security, known as Ravec, is set to reconsider the level of police protection provided to Prince Harry and Meghan.
Because the couple and their children are now full-time residents rather than visitors, Ravec will evaluate the specific risks they face at their new home. The assessment will also cover routine travel routes and school runs, addressing a topic that has long been a source of anger for Prince Harry.
