ITTF launches​ Sustainability‌ Pledge for Table Tennis Equipment Brands

The International Table Tennis⁤ Federation ⁣(ITTF) is calling on equipment manufacturers to commit to​ a new sustainability pledge. Launched in collaboration with the International Federation ⁤of ⁢Table Tennis ​Equipment Manufacturers (FIT), the initiative aims to unite the⁣ industry​ around‌ environmental and social responsibility.

The ITTF Sustainability Pledge⁢ for Table Tennis equipment Brands and Manufacturers seeks to ‌establish a framework ‌for ​sustainable practices throughout the production and lifecycle ‍of ‌table tennis equipment. The launch will ⁢occur at the ITTF World Championships 2025 in Qatar.

the pledge asks manufacturers to demonstrate leadership in three key areas: ethical practices, ‍environmental responsibility, and ​continuous improvement.‍ This includes respecting human rights, ensuring ‌fair ⁣labor conditions,⁣ reducing environmental impact, ‌and embedding sustainability into business strategies.

ITTF-accredited brands are encouraged to sign⁢ the voluntary commitment. Signatories should also uphold transparency and avoid greenwashing.
