The Soul Savvy choir is marking its tenth anniversary this Saturday with a performance brimming with punch,speed and dynamism
,according to conductor Brita Skare Malvik. The milestone represents a decade of dedication and musical evolution for the ensemble,which began as a simple invitation extended by Malvik ten years ago.
Malvik recalls the initial uncertainty, admitting she plucked up the courage
to gauge interest in forming a choir. Her vision has clearly resonated, culminating in a celebratory concert featuring a fresh interpretation of a beloved Christmas classic. While the specific song remains undisclosed, the choir promises a unique and revitalized take on a seasonal favorite.
“I am very proud of these singers,” Malvik stated,reflecting on the choir’s journey from its humble beginnings to its current vibrant state.The anniversary festivity is scheduled for Saturday, December 20, 2025, and will serve as a testament to the power of community and the enduring appeal of choral music.
