The annual Ballon d’Or gala, celebrating the worldS best football players, took place on Monday night at the Théâtre du Châttelet in Paris. Two Swedish players, Johanna Rytting Kaneryd and Viktor Gyökeres, were among the nominees, marking a significant showing for Swedish football.
Johanna Rytting Kaneryd, currently with Chelsea, was recognized among the top 30 women’s players, ultimately finishing in 23rd place. On the men’s side, Arsenal’s Viktor Gyökeres secured a 15th-place ranking in the prestigious competition.
