Auspicious Moon and Happy Family Life: Hungarian Lishui Qingtian Hometown Association Distributes Mooncakes to Members
The annual Mid-Autumn Festival has arrived, and with it, the traditional food that embodies the strong reunion feeling of the Chinese people – mooncakes. On September 7, 2024, Ye Xiaorong, president of the Hungarian Lishui Qingtian Hometown Association, and the main members of the association prepared over 300 boxes of fresh and delicious mooncakes and distributed them to the members in the clubhouse located in the second phase of Fuli Shopping Plaza in Budapest.
President Ye Xiaorong expressed, “The Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for reunion, and the frost on the ground brings wealth. The flowers are in full bloom, the moon is full, and the family is happy and joyful.” He thanked the fellow townsmen for their trust and the support from all walks of life, and said that he would live up to the trust, carry forward the past, do practical things for the fellow townsmen, and seek benefits. With the joint efforts of everyone, the hometown association will prosper.
The Lishui Qingtian Hometown Association in Hungary will also jointly hold a large-scale event of “Celebrating National Day and Welcoming Mid-Autumn Festival” with the Hungarian Chinese Federation and the Hungarian Chinese Women’s Federation on the afternoon of September 14. At the event, certificates and scholarships will be awarded to students from Lishui in Hungary who are admitted to various universities in 2024.
