Bursa Black Fig Receives EU Geographical Indication Registration
The Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, İbrahim Yumaklı, announced that Bursa black fig has received the registration of the geographical indication of the European Union (EU).
Minister Yumaklı shared the news on his social media account, stating, “Another good news came from Bursa black fig. Bursa black fig became another Bursa delicacy registered by the EU after Gemlik olive and Bursa peach. Therefore, the product is registered in the EU.” He added, “Our number has increased to 26. We said yesterday that new ones will be added to the list.”
