swiss Olympic has announced the selection of 44 additional athletes to represent Switzerland at the upcoming Winter⁤ Olympic Games in ⁤Milan-Cortina, ⁣Italy, scheduled from ⁢February ⁣6th to February 22nd, 2026. ⁢The new selections span freestyle skiing, snowboarding, and bobsleigh.

Freestyle Skiing and ‍Snowboarding Selections

The expanded team includes Olympic medalists Mathilde⁣ Gremaud and Sarah Hoefflin (freestyle skiing), and Jan Scherrer (snowboarding). These selections ‍bolster Switzerland’s medal hopes in these disciplines. Milan-Cortina 2026 is expected to be a highly competitive event.

Swiss Sliding Team

A meaningful portion of the ⁤new selections, 21 athletes, will compete⁣ under the swiss Sliding banner, encompassing bobsleigh, skeleton, and luge. Swiss Sliding has a strong tradition of success in these events.
