Belmont Cameli, known for his work in the feature Until Dawn and the series Off Campus, will step into the role of Brom Bones. This character was previously played by Casper Van Dien in Tim Burton’s 1999 feature film Sleepy Hollow. Sweeney will star as Katrina Van Tassel. In Washington Irving’s original short story, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, Katrina’s role was largely limited to the woman pursued by both schoolmaster Ichabod Crane and the local brawler Brom Van Brunt. The new project adapts Lindsey Anderson Beer’s book Hollow, which is scheduled for publication in late 2027 and shifts the narrative perspective away from Ichabod Crane to focus on Katrina.
