The F2 Live Open Air music series is expanding to a four-day format on Štvanice Island in Prague, according to reports from Radio 1. The outdoor festival, hosted by the Fuchs2 club, runs through the second half of August, featuring an eclectic lineup spanning vinyl-only techno, underground rap, and contemporary guitar bands.

According to Radio 1, a scheduling conflict at the venue prompted a change in layout for the majority of the performances. “Tento rok se díky menšímu faux pas s doublebookingem kurtů s F2 Live Open Air opět přesouváme za Fuchs na cíp louky,” explained Fuchs2 dramaturg Marek Mikič in coverage by Radio 1, noting that the events will move to the open space in front of the Bike Jesus venue. While the space reduction decreases overall capacity, Mikič pointed out that the new arrangement places the stage partially turned toward the club, creating a fresh environment for overhead perspectives.

Day Rave and Opening Events on Štvanice Island

Opening day activities begin Friday, August 15, with a Day Rave in the Tenisový areál Štvanice courts, marking the sole portion of the festival remaining at the original tennis venue. Radio 1 reports that the afternoon event features German DJ Helena Hauff, known for strictly vinyl-only sets. Hauff is joined on the opening bill by resident DJs Nina Farrina, Nastya Muravyova, and Midirama.

“Day raves nabírají na popularitě,” said dramaturg Midirama, as quoted by Radio 1, highlighting the decision to center the opening lineup around analog vinyl formats. Following the daytime sessions, the programming transitions into full-house afterparties.

On Thursday, August 20, the festival moves inside the Fuchs2 club for an official warm-up curated by the band Dukla. The group has assembled a roster of emerging domestic alternative projects, including Ida The Young, Media Service, Angst, and Young Aesthete, alongside a historic first DJ set from Dukla itself. “Je to výběr z toho nejlepšího, co se za poslední měsíce a roky na tuzemské alternativní scéně objevilo,” stated the band in comments published by Radio 1.

UGOT Takeover and Weekend Finishes

Friday, August 21, shifts focus to uncompromising rap and heavy beats through the UGOT (Underground Overtake) takeover behind the Fuchs2 club. According to Radio 1, Marek Mikič describes this segment as his personal favorite of the festival, highlighting the inclusion of international acts. The evening features the European debut of American rapper Bearded Legend and the Czech debut of Native James, performing alongside domestic staples such as Dušan Vlk, Edúv Syn, and Gosha Grey.

“Uslyšíte známá jména, ale připravili jsme si i fresh umělce na vzestupe,” noted Cringe Prince, curator for the UGOT program, in reports from Radio 1, adding that attendees can cool off in the nearby Vltava River between sets.

The festival concludes on Saturday, August 22, with performances from rapper Shimmi—promising live instrumentation and surprise guests—alongside Slovak artist Similivinlife, Gufrau, and Victor Kala. For Gufrau, returning to the Štvanice venue carries personal resonance, having grown up in the surrounding neighborhood.

Nighttime programming extends into the early morning hours, with club afterparties scheduled across both Bike Jesus and Fuchs2. Friday night afters feature sets from Aldo Lush, Bill Dítě, Chryzotil 271, Edúv Syn, Exui, Gosha Grey, Matyášovi Kamarádi, Miss Univers, and Native James. Saturday night concludes with performances by Adam The World & Samm734, Alyaz, AstralKid22, Casablanka, Domizako, Fridayyszn, Kewu, Skardu, Supaspicybois, Vranov Music, and Vtechec, according to Radio 1. Ticketing options include single-day passes with or without afterparty access.
