Synthflow AI Raises $20M for Enterprise Voice AI Platform

Synthflow AI, a Berlin-based company specializing in no-code, enterprise-grade voice AI customer service agents, has raised $20 million in Series A funding. Accel lead the round, with participation from Atlantic Labs and Singular.
The companyS platform enables businesses to build and deploy customized, white-labeled voice AI agents. Since its launch in 2023,Synthflow reports it has acquired over 1,000 customers and processed more than 45 million calls. Their voice agents are designed to be HIPAA and GDPR compliant, integrating with over 200 enterprise platforms like Salesforce, Twilio, and HubSpot.
Hakob Astabatsyan, co-founder and CEO, said that he and his co-founders, Albert Astabatsyan and Sassun Mirzakhan-Saky, began experimenting with OpenAI’s ChatGPT API in early 2023. They initially explored text-based AI bots before focusing on the complexities and potential of voice technology.
Synthflow launched its initial product version in early 2024, followed by an enterprise-grade version later that year. Astabatsyan noted the company experienced 15x growth last year,with a customer retention rate exceeding 90% among enterprise clients.
“We process 5 million calls monthly,” Astabatsyan said. “Last year, it was like, I don’t know, 1 million, 2 million, and then we started growing very quickly.This is where Synthflow started realy getting better and better as we had this velocity.”
accel partner Luca Bocchio said his team had been monitoring synthflow’s progress from its early stages. he emphasized the founding team’s vision and focus on enterprise-level integrations as key factors in Accel’s investment.
“This team has [had] really strong views as the get-go about creating more depth with the technology and extensive integrations across CRMs, across tools enterprises may use to really provide enterprise-grade compliance,” Bocchio said.
What’s next
The new funding will be used to expand Synthflow’s team, enhance research and growth efforts, and establish its first U.S. office. The location is yet to be determined.
