Updated June 03, 2025
T-Mobile is inviting users to test its T-satellite beta, providing a 90-day free trial that includes access to its 5G network, satellite texting capabilities, and other perks. The T-Satellite beta allows users to send and receive texts in areas without traditional cellular service.
Participants in the T-Mobile T-Satellite beta can send emergency texts to 911 and share their location via text when a cellular signal is unavailable and the sky is clear. The trial also includes 50GB of high-speed data and unlimited texts on T-Mobile’s 5G network. Users can also take advantage of T-Mobile Tuesday perks during the 90-day period.

After the trial, access to T-Mobile’s cellular network and T-Mobile Tuesdays will end unless the user subscribes to T-Mobile. Participants must provide a valid credit card when joining the beta. After the 90-day trial, users will be charged $10 per month for the satellite service, a $5 discount from the regular $15 monthly fee, unless they cancel before the trial ends.
Joining the T-Satellite beta requires providing the phone’s IMEI number. On iOS, this can be found under Settings > General > About. Android users can locate it in Settings > About phone.

Users with dual eSIM phones can allow T-Mobile to use an open eSIM. Those with a single eSIM may need a physical SIM card for their current carrier to allow T-Satellite to use the eSIM. Granting T-Mobile eSIM access with only one eSIM could result in losing connection with the current carrier.
What’s next
T-Mobile will likely gather user feedback from this beta to refine its satellite service before a wider launch. keep an eye out for further announcements regarding pricing and availability after the trial period.
