T1’s ‘Jeopeguke’ Lineup Breaks Up After 3 Years… Zeus Leaves, Doran Joins
Zeus Leaves T1 After 3 Years
T1’s top laner, Choi Woo-jae, known as ‘Zeus’, has left the team. T1 announced his departure on the 20th of November. The organization expressed gratitude for his contributions over the past three years.
Zeus played a key role in leading T1 to three consecutive World Championship finals and winning two championships. His contract was initially set to expire at the end of this year, while other players along with the captain, ‘Faker’, had contracts running until next year.
Despite efforts to keep Zeus, T1 chose to focus on their future without him. His departure marks the end of T1’s main roster that included Malik as Jungler, Faker in the Middle lane, Kumayushi in Bottom lane, and Keria as Support. This lineup helped T1 secure successes in the League of Legends World Championship.
To fill Zeus’s position, T1 has signed Choi “Doran” Hyun-jun. Doran, a seasoned player, has played for teams like DRX and Hanwha Life Esports. He won championships in 2022 and had notable performances in previous seasons. T1 has signed Doran to a one-year contract.
As T1 adjusts to this change, they aim to maintain their competitive edge in esports.
