The foundationS steam train, currently located in Hoedekenskerke, is also affected. Its scheduled return to Goes for upcoming services is delayed until the stranded diesel train is removed.
Preliminary Inquiry
The exact circumstances leading to the collision are still under investigation. According to Bax, it is indeed possible the tractor was reversing over the railway crossing when the incident occurred, and the driver was unable to clear the tracks in time. The tractor driver reportedly sounded the horn, but the warning came too late to prevent the collision. Omroep Zeeland detailed this account.
