Monday is the 80th birth anniversary of Mohammad Hanif, the first elected mayor of the undivided Dhaka City Corporation, the close and dear friend of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Mohammad Hanif was born on April 1, 1944 in Old Dhaka. He is the youngest child of Abdul Aziz and Munni Begum.
