Netflix has scheduled the global premiere of the 12-episode fantasy romance K-drama Take Charge of My Heart for October 9, 2026. The series adapts the Naver web novel Charge Me by Hae Beon, thenexthint.com reported.
Park Soo-won directs the project, which features Kim Young-kwang and Chae Soo-bin in the lead roles. All episodes will run for approximately one hour and ten minutes each and release simultaneously on the streaming platform.
Baek Ho-rang and Na Bo-bae Meet Under Unusual Circumstances
The narrative focuses on Baek Ho-rang, a third-generation chaebol heir and executive of TS Group who hides a life-threatening secret beneath his intelligent facade. His situation shifts when Na Bo-bae enters the story as a hardworking screenwriter racing against contract deadlines. Struck by lightning during her childhood, Bo-bae lives with an electrical current constantly coursing through her body, forcing her to wear gloves and keep her distance from others. Upon their meeting, Bo-bae’s peculiar condition surprisingly powers Ho-rang’s mechanical heart instead of hurting him. Because of this encounter, a three-month arrangement is established where Bo-bae must remain close to Ho-rang, while he in return commits to helping her fulfill her romance bucket list.
Cast and Production Details Shape the Series
Kim Young-kwang stars as Baek Ho-rang alongside Chae Soo-bin as Na Bo-bae. They are joined by Cha Woo-min playing Ji Eun-ho, Shin Do-hyun playing Han Seol-hui, Jung Jae-kwang playing Choi Do-yoon, and Kim Ah-young.
Song Yu-chae wrote the screenplay for the 12-episode drama. NEW Point and WhyNot Media handled production duties, with pre-production starting in mid-2025 and wrapping during the second half of that year.
Netflix Confirms Global Release Schedule and Trailer
