Making Chungbuk a Clean Place Without Youth Gambling
Chungbuk Provincial Police Agency has appointed national archery team member Woojin Kim as a public relations ambassador to raise awareness of the seriousness of youth gambling problems and to raise social awareness by eradicating them.
Kim Woo-jin, the undisputed best athlete from South Korea, having won three gold medals at the Paris Olympics, is expected to raise awareness of the dangers of youth gambling while also exerting a positive influence on youth.
At the appointment ceremony, Kim Woo-jin said, “I am honored to be appointed as an ambassador for youth gambling eradication. I hope this will be an opportunity to raise awareness about gambling among youth and to help them stay away from it. I will continue to actively participate in youth gambling prevention campaigns.”
Chungbuk Provincial Police Agency Commissioner Kim Hak-kwan said, “I would like to thank Kim Woo-jin for joining the movement to eradicate youth gambling as an athlete representing South Korea.” He added, “I expect that through this appointment as public relations ambassador, he will deliver a positive message to the Chungbuk Provincial Police Agency’s ‘Creating a Clean Chungbuk Free from Youth Gambling.’ I hope that everyone will take an interest in gambling, a serious problem that threatens the future of our youth, and join us in this effort.”
The Chungbuk Provincial Police Agency plans to establish a cooperative system with the Chungbuk Office of Education and the Sejong Chungbuk Gambling Problem Treatment Center, and to continue collaboration with companies in the province that wish to join in the eradication of youth gambling.
