Sacheon City Mayor Park Dong-sik Visits Yulgok Co., Ltd. to Encourage Employees and Discuss Challenges
Sacheon City Mayor Park Dong-sik recently visited Yulgok Co., Ltd., a leading local aviation company, to boost employee morale and listen to the company’s concerns. Yulgok Co., Ltd. is a prominent aircraft manufacturer that assembles and produces parts for military aircraft, such as the T-50, KT-1, and Surion, as well as core parts and fuselages for large civil aircraft from Boeing and Airbus, in collaboration with Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI).
Recognized for its exceptional technological capabilities and competitive pricing through domestic and international partnerships, Yulgok Co., Ltd. is actively participating in the global aircraft parts market by directly supplying to top private aircraft companies through export expansion activities.
Despite facing challenges due to the installation of expensive large-scale machinery and equipment and the COVID-19 pandemic, the company’s management is returning to normal thanks to its consistent efforts and government support, such as the Local Investment Promotion Subsidy (KRW 7.9 billion).
Established in October 1990, Yulgok Co., Ltd. currently employs approximately 450 people and is expected to post sales of 97 billion won in 2023, roughly double its sales in 2022 (57 billion won).
Mayor Park Dong-sik expressed his condolences and gratitude to the company’s management and employees, stating, “I would like to commend the company’s management and employees for overcoming the crisis in the aviation industry, which had worsened and shrunk due to COVID-19, and for building a more solid foundation.”
He added, “To revitalize the local economy and promote economic activities such as job creation through corporate investment, local investment must be promoted, and all members of our city recognize local economic growth as a top priority and are establishing and promoting policies.”
