Tame Impala has achieved a significant commercial milestone with the single Dracula, which has secured the top position on multiple Billboard charts. The project, led by multi-instrumentalist Kevin Parker, has seen an unprecedented rise in pop-chart visibility, marking a new phase of mainstream success for the artist.
The track first became a commercially successful single upon its release in September 2025 and was the first Tame Impala release to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Its trajectory shifted further upward following the release of a remix on February 6, 2026, featuring the South Korean singer JENNIE.
This collaboration propelled Dracula to No. 2 on the Billboard Global 200. This represents the first time a Tame Impala song has entered the top 10 of that specific chart. For JENNIE, the achievement marks her fifth entry into the top 10 of the Global 200.
The remix has also dominated several genre-specific charts. For the week of May 2, 2026, Dracula hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Rock & Alternative Songs Chart. It simultaneously claimed the No. 1 spot on the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart.
In reaching these positions, the song replaced the track Back To Friends by the artist sombr. Dracula successfully overtook Back To Friends on three multi-metric rock and alternative charts, including the Hot Rock Songs chart and the Hot Alternative Songs chart. Prior to this shift, sombr had maintained the top spot across multiple charts for 25 nonconsecutive weeks.
The commercial strength of the remix is supported by specific consumption data. During the tracking week of April 17-23, 2026, Billboard reported that the song registered 12 million official streams in the United States. It garnered 15.2 million radio airplay audience impressions and 2,000 sales downloads within the same period.
Beyond the primary charts, the song has maintained a strong presence in digital sales and streaming. Dracula has held the No. 1 position on both the Rock Digital Song Sales and Alternative Digital Songs Sales charts for three consecutive weeks. It also currently remains at No. 2 on the Rock Streaming Songs and Alternative Streaming charts.
This current success represents the highest chart peak for the project. In February 2020, Tame Impala came close to a No. 1 position on the Hot Rock & Alternative chart when the song Breathe Deeper peaked at No. 2. Until the release and subsequent remix of Dracula, that had been the project’s highest-charting position.
While this represents a personal best for Tame Impala as a primary artist, Kevin Parker has been a consistent presence on pop charts for several years through his production and collaboration work. Parker has contributed to the projects of high-profile artists including Dua Lipa, Travis Scott, and Lady Gaga.
The Tame Impala project is characterized by Parker’s extensive creative control. As a multi-instrumentalist, Parker writes, records, and produces his own music, though he performs the material with a full live band. This approach to production and songwriting has been a central element of his career for more than a decade.
