Defensive Reinforcements Arrive After Player Departures
Following confirmation that Modo will compete in HockeyAllsvenskan next season, several players have departed. However, the team has also secured contract extensions with key players and made new acquisitions to strengthen the roster.
The addition of a defenseman is seen as a crucial move to solidify the team’s back end. According to reports, Viktor Persson is poised to join Modo.
Persson’s Journey: From SHL to Finland, Now Modo
Persson previously filled in for Christian Djoos, who was sidelined with an injury while playing for Brynäs IF in the Swedish Hockey League (SHL). During that stint, Persson participated in 11 SHL games.
Though, with limited ice time guaranteed, Persson transitioned to JYP in Finland, where he recorded four assists in 26 regular-season games.
