Suwon FC Terminates Son Jun-ho’s Contract Amid Match-Fixing Allegations
Suwon FC has announced the termination of Son Jun-ho’s contract due to his alleged involvement in match-fixing and bribery.
Son Jun-ho was arrested in May 2023 while trying to return to Korea through Shanghai Hongqiao Airport, China. He was investigated by the Liaoning Chaoyang Provincial Public Security Bureau for the ‘crime of bribery of non-state agents’.

Son Jun-ho denied the allegations of match-fixing, but the Chinese Football Association banned him from any football activities in China for life.
