Taylor Fisher of Mandan Dies in Tragic Accident at Age 16

Taylor Rebecca Fisher, a 16-year-old junior at Mandan High School in North Dakota, passed away in a tragic accident on October 2, 2026. Born in Bismarck on April 26, 2010, to parents Billy and Sue Fisher, she was remembered for her academic dedication on the honor roll, her involvement in advanced classes, and her participation in the Braves tennis team, Future Business Leaders of America, and the Just for Kix dance team.

Life and Community Involvement

During her time at Mandan High School and within the local community, Fisher balanced rigorous academic pursuits with creative and extracurricular activities. She helped her dance team secure a first-place victory at the 2026 Together We Dance Competition and was actively involved in working on the family farm, helping at events at Rusty’s Saloon, and spending time with her nephews, Gage and Jagger Hruby. She is survived by her parents, her siblings Brian and Ashley, her grandparents Bill and Donna Fisher, and a large extended family.

Services and Memorial Arrangements

Arrangements have been entrusted to Weigel Funeral Home of Mandan, as reported by The Bismarck Tribune. Visitation is scheduled at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Mandan, accompanied by a parish rosary and vigil. A joint Mass of Christian Burial for Taylor and her boyfriend, Ben, will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, October 12, at the Mandan High School gymnasium, with burial following at Mandan Union Cemetery.
