In the afternoon’s third-place match, Team Virginia defeated Team Illinois 6.5-2.5. The championship semifinals earlier saw Team New York beat Team Illinois 5-4, while Team Utah topped Team Virginia 6.5-2.5.
The other teams ranked as follows: Team Pennsylvania finished fifth, Team Texas sixth, Team California seventh, Team Florida eighth, Team Minnesota ninth, Team North Carolina tenth, Team Ohio eleventh, and Team Kansas twelfth.
The eight teams not in the semifinals participated in the Twin Warriors Fiesta de Tamaya, a two-person competition. Nathan Miller and Landon Hilario from Team Texas won, while Team Ohio’s Gracyn Vidovic and Ellie Gonzalez were the runners-up. Madyson Barone from Team Florida and Calli Reed from Team Ohio also earned closest to the hole awards on respective holes.
