Aom Akkaphan Namart Passes Away at 39

Thai actor Aom Akkaphan Namart passed away peacefully at the age of 39 after receiving treatment for cancer since 2022. The entertainment industry and fans mourned his passing en masse.

The “Namart” family, including Mr. Supong, Mrs. Amthanom Namat, Mrs. Wannapa Chaijetsarit, and Mrs. Daria Shevruk, moved Aom’s body from a private hospital to Wat That Thong, Bangkok, for a funeral service.

The funeral ceremony took place at 4:30 pm, with Mrs. Lawan Kanchat, President of JSL Global Media Company, presiding over the ceremony. Many artists, actors, theater organizers, and fans attended to pay their respects.

Notable attendees included Tukkata Chitlada Kanjaruek, Duantem Salikul, Ko Theerasak Pantujariya, Phet Krunaphon, and Takphet Lekhawichit, among others. They poured water on Aom’s body as a sign of respect.

Guitar Siripich Wimonnoj, a former actor and theater producer, shared that Aom had asked him not to cry at the funeral. Aom had fought his disease patiently and had even traveled to other provinces and gone diving despite his illness.

C Siwat Chotichaicharin, an actor and friend of Aom’s, praised Aom’s hard work and dedication to his craft. He also shared fond memories of their time together.

Amy Klinprathum, another friend and actor, paid her respects to Aom, saying she would always remember the beautiful stories they shared.

Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali Krommuen Suttanarinat sent a personal wreath to the funeral, which was placed in front of Aom’s coffin.

The funeral service program, including the chanting of Abhidhamma, will continue until September 26 at Wat That Thong, Hall 12. The cremation ceremony is scheduled for September 28, 2024, at 3:00 pm.
