Teboun Meets Sisi in Cairo: A Key Stop on High-Stakes Arab Tour
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi Welcomes Algerian Counterpart Abdelmadjid Teboun to Cairo
On Sunday, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi welcomed his Algerian counterpart, Abdelmadjid Teboun, to the capital Cairo, as part of an Arab tour led by the latter, which also includes the Sultanate of Oman.
The two visits aim to strengthen ties of brotherhood and cooperation between the two nations, according to Algeria’s presidency.
President Sisi received President Teboun at Cairo International Airport, marking the second visit by the Algerian president to Egypt since January 2022.
This visit is also significant as it is President Teboun’s first foreign trip since his re-election to a second 5-year term last September.
Following his visit to Egypt, President Teboun will head to Muscat, marking the first visit by an Algerian president to the Sultanate of Oman.
