Techcomlight introduced an updated 35 cm daylight dimmer for its Powerdaylight system, combining a custom valve with wireless controls and app integration, according to manufacturer Techcomlight. Techcomlight is switching immediately to the new model of the daylight dimmer for the Powerdaylight with a diameter of 35 cm, offering a complete, reliable, and user-friendly solution for regulating the amount of daylight entering a Powerdaylight system. The manufacturer focuses on ease of use, simple installation, and smart control options, combining reliable control technology with various operating possibilities.
The updated system uses a custom-made control valve featuring a rotating disk with reflective material to direct sunlight efficiently when open. Black felt lines the perimeter of the disk to seal the valve completely when closed, minimizing unwanted light entry.
Wireless Control and App Integration Options
Users can operate the dimmer manually or via the Plejd app to adjust settings, create personal scenes, and establish schedules. The setup includes a Plejd JAL-01 Shutter Controller alongside a white wireless GIRA ST55 wall switch equipped with a Plejd WIN-01 module. An optional Plejd gateway allows the daylight dimmer to connect with smart-home platforms such as Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Homey, and Amazon Alexa.

Plug-and-Play Enclosure and Phased Rollout Schedule
An optional plug-and-play control box housed in a Spelsberg IP66-rated enclosure can power up to 10 daylight dimmers simultaneously, while custom boxes remain available on request for larger installations. The unit arrives with a pre-assembled cable and Europlug for standard 230-volt outlets. Architectura reported that while the 35 cm model is available now, Techcomlight plans to update the existing 25 cm and 53 cm variations in a phased rollout to standardize the product line into a single modern product line featuring the same reliable technology and extensive operating capabilities, with further information on the 25 cm and 53 cm models following as soon as they become available.
