Teen Sensation Shatters Record: 18-Year-Old Brazilian Phenom Makes Real Madrid History in Champions League
Real Madrid’s Brazilian Sensation: Indrik Makes History in the Champions League
Real Madrid’s Brazilian player, Indrik, achieved a historic record with a 3-1 win over Germany’s Stuttgart in the first round of the Champions League on Tuesday.
Indrik scored Real Madrid’s third goal in stoppage time with a powerful shot from outside the penalty area, securing a remarkable victory for the team.
At just 18 years and 58 days old, Indrik surpassed Real Madrid legend Raul Gonzalez’s record, who was 18 years and 113 days old when he scored a goal for the Merengues against Hungary’s Ferencvarosi in 1995.
Indrik entered the match in the 80th minute as a substitute for Englishman Jude Bellingham and his goal came from a counter-attack that started in the Real Madrid half.
The youngster drove long and had the option of passing the ball to Kylian Mbappe or Vinicius Junior, but he preferred to shoot with his left foot, showcasing his confidence and skill.
Stuttgart goalkeeper Alexander Nubel managed to get a hold of the ball but was unable to prevent it from entering the net, securing Indrik’s first goal in the Champions League.
Indrik’s goal sparked celebrations as he ran to the fans behind the goal to share the moment with them.
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti praised Indrik, saying, “He had a lot of courage to shoot the ball.”
This was Indrik’s second goal for the Royals this season since joining from Palmeiras, demonstrating his potential to become a key player for the team.
