Newell explained that her disappearance from WWE after a dark match in July 2024 stemmed from creative choices, not a medical setback.This revelation counters fan speculation that an injury or illness kept her sidelined.
“I was sick during it,but it wasn’t a sickness where I couldn’t wrestle,” Newell said. “I was cleared. I was entirely cleared. Everyone knew I was cleared.” She specified that she had stomach issues that sometimes prevented her from keeping food or liquids down. Despite this, she wrestled in dark matches while sick, indicating her availability.
The former WWE star’s comments suggest that the lack of creative plans, not physical limitations, kept her off television. “It wasn’t like you can’t wrestle. It was just they didn’t book me, unluckily,” Newell stated.
