Tejashwi Yadav on Tej Pratap Expulsion: India News
Tejashwi Yadav Reacts to Tej Pratap’s Facebook Post, RJD Fallout
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Tejashwi Yadav addressed the recent Facebook activity of his elder brother, Tej Pratap yadav, on Sunday. The response follows a as-deleted post by Tej Pratap, in which he claimed to be in a 12-year relationship. Tejashwi also commented on Lalu Prasad Yadav’s decision to expel tej Pratap from the party.
Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of RJD patriarch Lalu Prasad Yadav, initially posted the relationship “confession” Saturday, raising eyebrows given his ongoing divorce proceedings from Aishwarya Rai, whom he married in 2018. He later claimed his Facebook account was hacked and the post was an attempt to defame him and his family with AI-generated photos.
Tejashwi Yadav, former deputy chief minister of Bihar, said the party cannot tolerate such incidents. He emphasized the separation of political and personal life, stating that Tej Pratap, as an adult, has the right to make his own decisions. He also acknowledged Lalu prasad Yadav’s decision to expel Tej Pratap from the RJD.
Lalu Prasad Yadav expelled Tej Pratap from the RJD for six years, citing a disregard for “moral values” in his personal life. In a post on X, Lalu stated that Tej Pratap’s behavior dose not align with the family’s values and traditions.
The marriage between Tej Pratap and Aishwarya Rai, granddaughter of former Bihar chief minister Daroga Rai, ended in a high-profile legal battle after Aishwarya accused Tej Pratap and his family of mistreatment. Their divorce case remains active.
“We cannot tolerate such things, we are working and are dedicated to the people of Bihar… He has the right to make his personal decisions,” Tejashwi Yadav, RJD Leader said.
What’s next
The RJD will likely navigate the internal fallout from Tej Pratap’s expulsion as it prepares for upcoming elections and continues to advocate for social justice in Bihar.
