Teledyne e2v has announced the launch of Perciva ToF, an industrial-grade 3D Time-of-Flight camera designed for demanding environments like logistics, robotics, inspection, and surveillance. Powered by the company’s Hydra3D+ CMOS image sensor, the device delivers an 832 by 600 pixel resolution to capture accurate depth data in real time.

Proprietary HiRho Pixel Architecture

The new camera integrates Teledyne e2v’s patented HiRho technology, which increases fill factor and quantum efficiency at near-infrared wavelengths while maintaining modulation transfer function and modulation contrast. The device utilizes a 10 micrometer three-tap pixel architecture that captures more light. This pixel design supports longer operating distances and helps the system reliably detect low-reflectivity materials.

Direct GigE Interface and Embedded Processing

Factory calibration and embedded processing simplify system integration for developers. The camera outputs depth maps and point cloud data directly through its GigE interface, which lowers processing requirements for connected host systems.

High-Speed Measurement in Challenging Conditions

Engineered for high-speed industrial applications, the hardware captures fast-moving objects without motion artifacts, providing dependable 3D measurements. The camera operates reliably in challenging conditions, handling varying outdoor illumination and interference from other nearby systems without requiring interconnecting cameras.

VISION 2026 Demonstration Plans

Teledyne e2v plans to demonstrate the Perciva ToF camera at VISION 2026 in Stuttgart, Germany, running from October 6 to 8 in Hall 8, Booth 8B10. Documentation and product samples are available upon request.
