Counter Terrorism Department Arrests 12 Terrorists in Punjab
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab has successfully apprehended 12 terrorists during a series of operations conducted in various cities across the province. The CTD Punjab reported that the arrested terrorists were found in possession of explosive materials, incendiary bullets, weapons, IED bombs, and mobile phones.
The CTD Punjab spokesperson revealed that a total of 140 intelligence operations were carried out in cities such as Sargodha, Bhakkar, Rahim Yar Khan, Faisalabad, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, and Jhang. The operations resulted in the arrest of 12 terrorists, identified as Nadeem, Jaber, Asif, Shams, Ejaz, Hassan, Shahid, and Farooq.
The recovered items from the terrorists include explosive materials, incendiary bullets, weapons, IED bombs, and mobile phones. This significant seizure highlights the CTD’s efforts in disrupting terrorist activities and ensuring public safety.
This recent crackdown is part of the CTD’s ongoing efforts to combat terrorism in the province. On October 19, the department had arrested 7 individuals, including 2 notorious terrorists from Fitnah-ul-Khawarij, during operations in different cities of Punjab.
The CTD had conducted 129 intelligence operations in various cities, leading to the arrest of 7 terrorists. The operations were carried out in cities such as Lahore, Bhakkar, Attock, Wahari, Bahawalpur, and Jhang. The department successfully apprehended 2 most wanted terrorists from Fitna-ul-Khawarij in Lahore and Bhakkar, along with weapons and explosive materials.
