Tesla Cybertruck Explosion at Trump Hotel Investigated as Possible Terrorism
Tesla Cybertruck Erupts in Flames Outside Trump Hotel, Leaving One Dead
Las Vegas, NV – A New Year’s Day celebration turned to chaos as a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the Trump Hotel in Las Vegas, leaving one person dead and seven others injured. The incident, which occurred around 8:40 a.m. local time, sent shockwaves through the bustling hotel entrance and has sparked an investigation into the cause of the blast.
“There are certainly a lot of questions about the Tesla Cybertruck, the Trump Hotel, etc.,” said Sheriff Kevin McMahill, chief of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. “We need to find answers to these in the future.”
The truck, parked in the valet area, erupted in flames, sending debris flying and leaving a scene of devastation.Authorities have not yet released the identity of the driver, who was killed in the explosion. Seven bystanders sustained injuries and were transported to local hospitals.
The incident comes just hours after a deadly incident in New Orleans, where a pickup truck plowed into a crowd, killing dozens. While authorities have found no direct link between the two events, the timing and nature of the incidents have raised concerns about potential terrorism.
Tesla CEO Elon musk weighed in on the incident via social media, claiming the Cybertruck involved was a rental vehicle and suggesting the explosion was caused by explosives planted inside.
“All Truck Suicide Bombers were rented through Turo,” Musk tweeted. “The two events must have been somehow connected.”
He added,”As far as we can confirm, the explosion was caused by a large number of fireworks or bombs loaded in the cargo compartment of the rental car. It has nothing to do with the car itself. All telemetry data from the vehicle at the time of the explosion was normal.”
The Trump Hotel in Las Vegas is part of the Trump Group, the family company of President-elect Donald Trump. Eric Trump, President-elect Trump’s son and head of the Trump organization, has not yet commented on the incident.
The investigation into the cause of the explosion is ongoing.

Local authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the blaze. While terrorism has not been ruled out, early indications suggest the truck may have been a rental.

“Truck suicide bombers are now being rented through Turo,” Musk tweeted. “This incident was clearly caused by fireworks or bombs, not a problem with the Cybertruck itself.”

As the investigation continues, questions remain about the identity of the driver, the nature of the explosives (if any), and the motive behind the incident.
