Texans’ Mixon Listed as Limited with Ankle Injury, Expects to Play Saturday
Houston, TX – Houston Texans running back Joe mixon was listed as a limited participant in practise Wednesday with an ankle injury, raising concerns about his availability for Saturday’s game.
Mixon,who missed three games earlier this season due to an ankle injury sustained from an illegal tackle,suffered the latest setback on a hip-drop tackle by Miami Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks during Sunday’s game.
Despite the injury,Mixon expressed optimism about his chances of playing this weekend. “I expect to play Saturday,” mixon said Tuesday.
The Texans’ practice report also revealed a few other notable updates. Linebacker Del’Shawn Phillips (foot) returned to practice as a limited participant, while backup quarterback Davis Mills (illness) was back as a full participant after missing Tuesday’s session.
Though,several players remained sidelined. Defensive tackle Folorunso Fatukasi (ankle), wide receiver John Metchie (shoulder), offensive guard Juice Scruggs (foot), and tight end cade Stover (illness) all remained non-participants.
Offensive guard Kenyon Green (shoulder), who is working his way back from injured reserve, continued to be a full participant in practice.

Mixon was listed as a limited participant in Wednesday’s practice with the ankle injury, which he sustained on a tackle by Dolphins linebacker Jordyn Brooks.This latest setback comes after Mixon missed three games earlier this season due to a different ankle injury.
