The Houston Texans are reportedly looking to add depth to their running back corps, with former Cleveland Browns star nick Chubb possibly joining the team. Sources indicate that the Texans are expected to sign Chubb to a one-year deal, pending the triumphant completion of a physical examination.
Chubb, a four-time Pro Bowl selection, spent his first seven seasons with the Browns after being drafted in the second round in 2018. During that time, he accumulated 6,843 rushing yards and 56 total touchdowns. Though, injuries have limited his playing time in the past two seasons, with Chubb appearing in just 10 games.
If the deal goes through, Chubb would join a Texans backfield already featuring veteran Joe Mixon, who had 1,325 yards from scrimmage and 12 touchdowns last season. The texans’ current roster also includes Dameon Pierce, Woody Marks, Dare Ogunbowale, J.J.Taylor,and Jawhar Jordan.
The potential addition of Nick Chubb coudl significantly enhance the texans’ running game, providing a valuable complement to Joe Mixon. The Texans are aiming to improve their rushing attack and provide quarterback C.J. Stroud with more support.

Texans players are scheduled to report for mandatory minicamp in Houston on Tuesday and Wednesday, were Chubb’s potential signing and integration into the team could be a key focus.
