Aggies Bolster Offense with Canadian Forward Savannah Hutchins
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Texas A&M soccer team is adding some serious firepower to its attack with the signing of forward Savannah Hutchins, head coach G Guerrieri announced Tuesday.”We’ve needed a pacy breakaway threat at the front of our attack, and Savannah more than fits that description,” Guerrieri said. “She is skillful and hungry to score and set up goals. She has gained tremendous experience last year as one of the top young talents in the ACC and before that in one of the most outstanding youth development programs in America back in southern California.”
Hutchins, a sophomore, joins the Aggies after a promising freshman season at North Carolina State, where she appeared in four games. Born in Toronto, the dynamic forward has also earned invitations to participate in national team camps for Canada Soccer, including stints with the U17 squad.
“I expect her to have an immediate impact on our offense, making us more hazardous in attack,” Guerrieri said. “She will help us compete on the national stage.”
Hutchins’ impressive resume includes a standout prep career at Moorpark (Calif.) High School. As a sophomore, she racked up 41 points on 17 goals and seven assists. Her freshman campaign saw her score nine goals and dish out four assists in just eight matches. Hutchins also honed her skills with the prestigious Slammers HB Koge club team.

Hutchins,a sophomore transfer from North Carolina State,brings valuable experience from her time competing in the ACC,one of the nation’s toughest conferences. Prior to her collegiate career, she honed her skills with the renowned Slammers HB Koge club team and impressed enough during her youth career to earn invitations to national team camps for Canada Soccer, including stints with the U17 squad.

Hutchins’ high school career at moorpark (Calif.) High School further showcases her offensive capabilities. She amassed an impressive 41 points on 17 goals and seven assists as a sophomore and followed that up with nine goals and four assists in just eight matches during her freshman year.
