Graduate Dies in Shooting at Texas Graduation Party

A high school graduation party in Uhland, Texas, turned tragic when a dispute led to the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Andrew Farias. The incident occurred early May 25,prompting a response from Uhland police and Texas Rangers.
According to authorities, the homeowner had asked guests to leave around 1 a.m. when a fight erupted between two girls.A witness told investigators the altercation began with “making faces” and talk about other girls.During the dispute, 18-year-old Chad Lee-Gardner allegedly struck the female homeowner on the head with a pistol.

Farias then confronted Lee-gardner, who allegedly fired two shots, striking Farias. The high school football player, who had just graduated from San Marcos High School, died from his injuries.
Lee-Gardner fled the scene but was later apprehended in Austin. He faces a murder charge in connection with the deadly graduation party shooting.

The examination is ongoing. Lee-Gardner remains in custody as the community mourns the loss of Andrew Farias, who had planned to attend Texas State University.
