Thai Lawmaker Beneath Investigation After Assaulting Reporter in Parliament Incident

Thai pro-military lawmaker beats reporter, parliament will launch investigation

(AFP, Bangkok, twenty second) Prawit Wongsuwan, a member of Thailand’s pro-military Palang Pracharat Social gathering and former deputy prime minister, was filmed hitting a reporter on the top a number of occasions for asking questions. Noppadol Srihatai, the director of Thai public tv, advised the media that Prawit’s conduct “threatens journalism.”

Prawit claimed that he “did not imply any hurt” and that he apologized to the reporter.
