Thai Futsal Team Dominates Timor-Leste in ASEAN Championship
The Thai national futsal team, ranked 11th in the world, showcased their skills in the group stage of the ASEAN Futsal Championship 2024, held at Terminal Hall, Terminal 21 Shopping Center in Nakhon Ratchasima Province.
In their second match, the Thai team faced off against Timor-Leste, ranked 110th in the world. The first half saw Chaowala Sriawut and Thanawat Kerdbangrachan score a goal each, while Timor-Leste scored an own goal. The second half witnessed another own goal from Timor-Leste, followed by two goals from Athipong Munphlai and a goal from Terdsak Charoenphong.
The match concluded with the Thai national team emerging victorious, defeating Timor-Leste with a score of 7-1. This win marked their second consecutive victory, earning them 6 points and securing their position at the top of Group A.
The Thai team will face their next challenge against Malaysia, led by Coach Mee Rakphon Sainat-ngam, the former coach of the Thai national team, on Tuesday, 5 November, at 6:00 pm at Terminal 21 Korat.
